Attorney Client Communication California Personal Injury

The most important thing to know about an attorney is whether or not he will communicate with you about your case. Whether is in person, by phone, email,  skype, AIM, twitter or face book. What is his mode of communication. What is your mode of communication.

I'll never forget the first time I saw an email. I was in the office of an executive of Applied Magnetics Corporation in Santa Barbara area and they had a phone called a Rolm, (maybe 1980) and he showed me he had electronic messages from his employees all over the word, right in his phone, and he could respond by typing a response.  I had never heard of such a thing, at that time computers filled rooms, and fax machines were very rare. At that time I worked for attorneys and did data entry at night on ancient computer systems including Nxdorf, IBM 3000 and similar type antiquated main frame machines. Most had work stations, PC's were really not around yet in common usage.

I had become a notary public, I was doing data entry and I knew I wanted to become a lawyer but that happy event would not occur for about 12 more years.

However I think I did learn about communication, about being humble and about taking care of your clients.

That is whats important between a lawyer and a client.  Two way communication when needed. That means you have to respond to your attorney when he calls, emails or skype's you, and he needs to respond to you when you call, email or skype him.

I hope to talk to you soon about your California Personal Injury case.
